Today we had an emergency placement of a 12 year foster boy in our home. One of the first things he asked me to do was to install the original Call of Duty on our laptop computer so he could play it. [He also wanted me to install some other shooters, but after checking the ratings--we nixed them.]
Young Carlos wants me to learn to play too. Will I be able to resist?! :questionm

Come on! if your going to install a FPS, go with Day of Defeat. It's cheap and easy to play and much better than Call of Duty. And I'll be able to put some rounds in your Yankee ass.

Wrong war and wrong on the facts. I was born south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Day of Defeat is STRICTLY a MP ( Multi-player ) game whereas Call of Duty series has a SP ( Single Player ) campaign.
How old is he? MOST if NOT all good FPS'S are going to be rated Mature due to Language and or Violent content ( Bloody corpse's and so forth ).
I'll help where I can or If you want my help at all.

Thanks Andy--as I mentioned he is 12 years old. We allowed him to play Call of Duty because it is rated "Teen", unlike most of the other games he wanted to play. We also did not want him playing on-line.
I may need your help, if he stays with us beyond a few days that are the "emergency placement" time.

Tried playing one of with the son once a few years ago. I could outsmart him but there was no way my reflexes could keep up with his. Of course he found my wargames boring. :-(

Sorry Frank, but I have at least one nephew already in line (he wants the AFV's too) and he lives much closer!
