So what's on the menu this year for everyone?

The Wife is picking up some ribs today at the local meat market which always has beautiful cuts. Firing up grill outside the garage & got some Guinness Stout & Smithwicks Ale to make black & tans.

Came up with a good 7 spice rub for the ribs & then some sweet & spicy sauce to drown them in! YUMMY!!

It was hard to decide who to root for this year's SB, but I've decided to go with Eli-

Go GIANTS!! 38-35 Cinderalla Story!

*disclaimer- now if they win, Andy can't dog my Lions anymore, hehe.

Frankie,

If that happens I will make the Lions my second favorite Team! :banana3[1]:

My sister is throwing a BBQ, with ribs, carnitas, steaks, carne asada ( there is a difference ) home-made beans and spanish rice and fresh mexican market hand made tortillas and a plethora of homemade Salsa's and LOTS & LOTS of Tequila ( The good stuff, ie: Patron, Tres Generaciones, Corazon and some killer local stuff some 90 miles south of Tiajuana) & some Rum for good measure.

That sounds awesome, Andy! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

Enjoy!

What? She's buying tortillas? What kind of Mexican cook is she? A gringo?

Oh yeah, I'll be at home in front of the Sony 60" 1080 Hi Def watching the game alone; the wife is visiting her parents in Houston for the weekend. So I have some Rolling Rocks and shed material and the big screen and PRIVACY!

Go Pats 48-10

I like Eli, but Belichick has had two weeks. So even with Sclhockey out (and that helps the Giants), they don't have a chance.

Carne Asada on the grill, sun tea, asparagus, friends, chicken kabobs and my daughter!

3-1 Fulham over Aston Villa and maybe some highlights of that toss-n-catch-ball game on tomorrow.

I have to find a way to get to Andy's family party!

We celebrated my mom's birthday tonight, so we'll probably have limited fare tomorrow.

Rob--you might want to rephrase your first sentence--at least I hope so!

Here in the Volunteer state, going to my Mother In laws (who is from "the Valley" of Texas, having chili (Her recipe), routelle with hot wings (my recipe), and BBQ brisket....:banana3[1]:..Southern Baptists no booze (though I would prefer Glenfiddich on the rocks)

Go GIANTS 28-24!

Oh....my.....God!!!

What a game!!!!!!!!

That final drive by Eli was a classic! About to be sacked, breaks free, throws down field... simply amazing!!

What a great, great game. Hats off to the Giants Defense. They are the MVPS without a doubt.

The catch by David Tyree was what was incredible. I agree, the Giant's defense played great, especially the line. It would have been a shame had they lost; they easily outplayed the Pats. The Pats' O-line sucked the big one.

That was a great game! Giants defense really gave all they had and then some. That catch by Tyree is going to be on every Super Bowl highlight film from now on.

It all boiled down to a sure sack that wasn't made and catch that couldn't be made but was. It was classic game and one that will be highlighted for years to come.

On a big picture level, great play by the Giants' defense and the inability of Brady's line to protect him throughout most of the game set the stage for the biggest Super Bowl upset since Namath and the Jets beat the Colts--when their was still an NFL and AFL.

it will go down as the greastest upset in Super Bowl history!!!... Tyree back breaking catch, the elusive Eli dodging a sack...the pump fake pass to Buress..it couldn't have gotten anymore exciting!!!!:star::banana3[1]:

It was definitely one of the greatest football games that I've watched in the past 30 years. The Giants deserved to win as they played better in almost every facet of the game. Belicheck made some surprisingly bad decisions that came back to haunt him (going for it instead of kicking a 48 yarder in a dome in the first half), and not mixing in enough runs in the second half or screens to take the pressure off of Brady.

That game was certainly a treat, and I couldn't help but think of of my good friend, KG_Panzerschreck and how much joy he must have felt watching the victory!

I didn't understand the 4th and 13 try either. If it had been 4th and 5 or less, okay, but 4th and 13? And the Tyree catch is the best in Super Bowl history, without question.

That play was even more amazing when you see how Manning gets free of that whole mob of humanity.
