My custom computer is up and running. wOOt!

Here is the specs:

Antec 900 case.
OCZ 700w power supply.
Nvidia 680i Motherboard
Intel core 2 duo e6850 processor. 3.0 ghz
4gb Corsair RAM
2X Western Digital Raptor 10,000 RPM drives in a RAID 0.
Nvidia 8800GT GPU 512mb
Windows Vista 64-bit
Wireless PCI card

It was suprisingly easy to build. I had everything out of the boxes, put together, powered up and installing the OS in about 3 hours. The teaking will probably be a never ending process. Vista 64-bit is a pain, especially when it comes to drivers. For example the wireless PCI card, I went through 3 of them that were "vista compatable" however they failed to mention only 32-bit not 64-bit. Finally I found a netgear that had drivers for 64 bit available for download from the website. So far that has been my biggest problem.

At the risk of starting a string of "Koz is a cheap bastard" and "Koz can afford 57 servants but will not buy a decent pc" comments i'm going to let it be know that I am very jealous of your new rig.

Yep, i'm a cheap bastard.....as long as the hunka junka keeps working I will continue to use it. If a kick-ass, cannot be without it game is released (certainly not the new CM) i'll upgrade but i'm going to wait till the last possible moment.

Just shy of $2000 with monitor and keyboard, etc... Buying this setup from Dell or Alienware would probably run you close to $5-6000.
