Now I know that this will probably cause at least one landlubber to have a heart attack, but do any of you all play naval wargames?

This one came out last week, and has quickly run to the top of my non-computer ladder. Me and some friends have been working on modified rules for special situations (hunt the wolfpack, hunt the Bismark, hunt the Graf Spee, Convoy, Night Battles, and the Carrier Battle). It's got a good set of maps, which can be quickly trimmed and modified to create anything from a small bay to the Battle of the Coral Sea.

Although its been a long time between games, I still have the original Avalon Hill "Midway" from the mid-1960s. We always had a good time playing it. We had to add a house rule that the Japanese could not combine all their ships into a single fleet (they did not historically) or the Americans would not have a reasonable chance of winning.

Midway was one of the few early board war games that included fog of war. You had to find your opponents ships through air recon.
