Blokus
Players: 2 - 4
Time: 20 - 30 minutes
Ages: 5 and up
Contents -
1 board of 400 squares
84 pieces in 4 colors
Instruction Guide
Blokus is an interesting an very simple strategy game, it only takes a minute to learn to play. There are four sets of colored pieces. Play consists of each person placing a piece on the board on their turn. A piece has to touch one of your colors pieces, but not on its side, only on its corner for it to be a legal play. The object is to have as many of your pieces on the board as possible before there are no more legal plays to be made. There are no restrictions on how your pieces touch other players pieces. There are lots of strategies to be developed in setting up blocking positions by placing your piece down in conjunction with others already on the board to block others from playing.
Kids can play this game and enjoy it, but its very enjoyable for adults to play when you get a grasp of the strategic side of things in this wonderful little game. My brother has this and we play it all the time. This is a great party game that you can sneak in on the wife or girlfriend and say that there is no strategy in it, LOL.
I couldnt find a website for the games publisher, Educational Insight.
