Expanding on their original game system, and their 1st expansion, Terrain Pack, and their 2nd expansion, Eastern Front, Days Of Wonder {DOW} introduced Memoir '44 Pacific Theater this past june.

DOW have selected for the Japanese the following forces - Japanese Infantry, the Type 95 "Ha-Go" Tank and the Type 98 75mm Anti-Aircraft Gun.

There are new rules for new infantry types such as US Marines, Chindits & Japanese Giretsu Special Forces. And rules for new unit types like Mobile Artillery, Flame Throwing Tanks, Aircraft Carriers & Warships. New terrain features like Rope Bridges & Caves and much more. Brand new special rules to tip the balance of the game at the last moment - The Japanese have the "Banzai Charge!" and the Marines have the "Gung Ho!" Rally special rules.

A great review of the game and its expansions can be found at RPGnet and was written by Matt Drake -

This looks like it might be fun to play with my son! Has anyone tried these? How is the replay value?

Replay value is endless. You can design your own scenarios. Plus DOW's website has a lot of user made scenarios, plus there alot of fan sites out there and then throw in all the expansions and you have a great gaming system.
