John;

Do you actually ever play this game? As an over-achieving doctor/lawyer/family conglomeration enroute to billions prior to 40 I just can't see where you fit it in. I can't find the time to turn around a couple CM files with my sucky little life.

I haven't played recently. For a two year period ending about 4 years ago, I played almost every week -- that's how I met Koz actually. My wife would let me go over to a friends' house after work and play for 2 or 3 hours then come home. That was great fun. If Koz and I lived closer, it would be more feasible. We are still toying over doing something after work at either of our job sites.

I sometimes play solitaire (not with the solitaire rules -- just with the regular rules, and playing fair). I enjoy that but it's hard to leave games set up for a long time. I have VASL now and will likely use that as my cyber solitaire table in the future.

Currently, no board games are being played at all. I'm just buying the stuff that looks interesting and figuring that one of my sons will be playing with me in a few years. Some of these modules sell out fast so I don't want to miss them, especially the Berlin one.

Right now, to the extent I have free time, I dabble in CM and still play World of Warcraft with my brother and two good friends. It's a great diversion and really helps me to relax.

I can't think of anything neater than beng able to pass that passion on to one of your boys. Except perhaps the first time he beats you in a module scenario and goes dancing around the house like he had just won the World Cup.

Thats why i wont teach the old lady how to play any of my simpler board games like "Carrier Strike!" or some of the others i have. She has asked me several times to teach her how to play and i refuse to teach her. Id never hear the end of it. :gas[1]: :stupid:

We used to have "Risk" parties with 2 pairs of couples friends of ours. The six of us would sit for hours playing Risk and drinking beer. It could get down right nasty if it came down to a husband vrs. a wife or fiance vrs. fiance. I want no part of that again.
