If your a Star Wars nut like me then don't be afraid of this title. This is definitely NOT any reincarnation of past games whatsoever.
The game is a must for ALL SW's fans, there is a demo out for the game.
The campaign has multiple scenarios ( Star Systems: they range from 12 planets to 56. I just completed a 12 planet scenario and it took me more than a week to finish it against the AI, not that I am a master of anything other than the obvious)
You can play both sides: The Rebellion or The Republic
It plays like a Ages of Empire game but a lot better IMHO.
Being able to use the Death Star is such an awesome feeling ( "You do NOT know the POWER of the Dark Side!" ooooh what a feeling....)
You have hero units: from Luke to Han Solo, Chewbaca, Obiwan Kenobi etc. for the Rebellion and for the Republic: Darth Vader, Palpatine, Boba Fett, and a few Admirals ( whose names escape me at the momen)
To control a planet you first have to secure the Spacefield above the Planet, usually very cool space battles ensue. Then and ONLY then you then move your Ground Troops to the planet below and wage your war....
I am simplifying the process because I don't want to bore you with words...
Try it, any self-respecting Star Wars fan will love the game.... It's no Combat Mission by any means but it is TRULY a very fun Star Wars experience.
