This weekend my wife and I stopped into the Half Price Books store located closest to our home. To her great joy, on the shelf I found six used classic board war games from the 1970s and 1980s. Each was priced at only $4.98 and in addition I was holding a 15% off coupon. All the games were in very good to decent shape. Several were unpunched.
I picked up the following:
1. Avalon Hill's 1974 Panzer Leader
2. Avalon Hill's 1977 The Arab Israeli Wars
3. Avalon Hill's 1984 Hitler's War
4. Victory Games' 1983 NATO--The Next War in Europe
5. Victory Games' 1985 Pacific War--The Struggle Against Japan
6. SPI's 1975 World War 3--1976-1984
But that was not all. Inside one of the game boxes was another game in an brown envelope:
7. SPI's 1978 The Battle for Cassino--Assaulting the Gustav Line, 1944
All in all, not a bad find!
