Once again this year I am volunteering to work at the SxSW Music Festival. Actually SxSW includes film and interactive components, but music is my area of interest. There will be hundreds of acts from all over the world during the March 15--19 run. Many of the artists have posted an MP3 for free download. Check that out and who will be playing here:

South by Southwest is over for 2006, except for the voluteers' party, which is this Sunday.

However, it is not too early to note the dates for next year's edition:

Music: Wednesday, March 14 - Sunday, March 18, 2007
Film: Friday, March 9 - Saturday, March 17, 2007
Interactive: Friday, March 9 - Tuesday, March 13, 2007
