I'm not sure how many of you have heard of Simon Wiesenthal, but he's probably the most famous of the post-war Nazi Hunters, and was instrumental in capturing Adolf Eichmann. He survived 4 years in a concentration camp where almost his entire family was killed. My mom bought me a book on him for my birthday. It looks great. Here's the link to the Amazon description:

Here's a link to his biography:

Isn't his role (or not) in the capture of Eichmann open to dispute? I seem to remember some tv programme where that came up.

I don't know much about Weisenthal so it certainly could be. I guess I'll know more once I read his biography. He certainly sounds like an interesting guy to learn more about.

It has been suggested by the Israelies that his role was inflated in that particular capture. Nevertheless, he was instrumental in capturing many Nazi bastards over the years.

The Wikipedia article does a nice job of presenting all the controversy surrounding the Eichmann issue.
