This is the first of what i hope to be many games i plan to cover in my "Classic Games" series for the board games section.

Anyone remember this old gem from back in the day? man i loved this game! each side has 2 carriers with 4 planes each on them. each plane has a torpedo, they can either dogfight, which causes them to dump their torpedo, or go attack an enemy carrier. the object is either to shoot down all the enemy planes or sink both enemy carries. simple but great fun and lets a lot of room for strategy, a great entry level wargame for kids. i cut my wargaming teeth on this game, and chopper strike and stratego. i will do a "Classic Games" review on Chopper strike soon. here are some pics -

That was a really cool game -- isn't the last picture a picture of a newer version of the game -- for some reason I recall the newer version coming out about 15 years ago -- could be way off on that.

I also forgot to mention that this game along with several others got lost when my family moved when i was 14 yrs old. Im always on the look out for a copy at yard sales and flea markets and I'd kill to find another copy but i doubt i ever will. Hell I'd sell the old lady into slavery to have my copies of Carrier Strike and Chopper Strike back, LOL.

Have you tried E-bay?
I picked up unpunched versions of Starship Troopers and Squad Leader there.

I am so envious! I may even give E-Bay a shot after hearing that -- I've never bought anything off E-Bay (can you believe that!).

FYI - I just checked EBay, there are 5 copies up for bid and all of them are still under 10 bucks. Plus you can buy all kinds of replacement parts for your incomplete game if you have one.
