All - I want to get back into collecting and wanted to know who here does or is interested. If there is enough interest maybe we can have a forum section...

Ive always had an interest, never had the money. i do however have a small collection of German WW2 money, Stamps and i have Hitler Youth Rally Tinnie. Ill borrow my buddies digital camera and take some pics and post what i have here on the forum if you start up a section Coop.
I almost forgot, i stand to someday inherit a WW1 Iron Cross 1st Class that my uncle has. its in very nice condition.
P.S. - Id like to add that if you do start a "Kollectors Korner" {nice name, huh?, lol} put it in the public section to bring in more people to the forum and spark more interest from our invited guests. who knows, maybe some of our guests have nice collections of thier own...

I have a few peices myself. I'll post some pics.
My fav is a Tinnie. I guess I like it because I learned so much about them and didn't even know they existed. At that German collectable site they have a whole section just dedicated to Tinnie's. Eventually I'd like to get more stuff.
I think we would need more than just a couple people to start a whole new section though. Let me think about it.

what there are only the three of us? Humm I figured there would be more - the section can cover all periods of history... come on people get with the program!

I'm interested but don't know much about it, but am certainly willing to learn from those who collect. I'd make it a general militaria section (as opposed to German oriented) if it was in the public forum -- I wouldn't want it devolving into essays by outsiders on how beautiful SS ceremonial daggers are . . .

Well it sounds like to have a good start here for general military collecting. I am currently interested in collecting items from the following areas.
1) USAAF & Luftwaffe combat awards - specifically pilot related, flight gear, photos, and other related items.
2) Fw 190, P-47, P-51, B-17, B-25 related items - instraments, logbooks,...
I am planning on going to my first militaria shows next month to check things out.
