well, been very disappointed about several promising mods not being released (e.g. Stalingrad). However, looks like this mod is actually finished ...!!! Lots of new maps by sothern land. Screenshots looks very promising. It won't be released until April 16 though, which must be due to some historical date.

I talked to AT_Dima the other day and he assured me that he will personally finish Stalingrad Mod. I'm actually going to be on of the beta testers. I think that it will be released by late Spring or Summer.

He has also released a beta mod of his own for CC5 which concentrates on the main campaign on the Contenin Peninsula. I helped him a bit with some of the historical information.

All in all from what I hear, it's a pretty dandy mod.

I reinstalled cc5 and downloaded the mod. Only problem is I keep getting a direct draw error when I reach the maps. The solution to reduce hardware acceleration did not work, any suggestions?

Are you running XP if so try compatibility mode for Windows 95 - it can be found via the right click context menu.

Good Luck

thor: what I found to work is this:

1. go to dxdiag (click start, run, type dxdiag)

2. Go to the display tab and disable "Direct Draw Acceleration" (apparently CC5 has some conflicts with the newer Direct X's.

*Remember to re-enable it if you plan on playing anything else.

Hope this helps, it did for me.
